I've left Brissie!

I know you've heard it before, but now I actually have left Brisbane. I whent to Coffs Harbour for a few days, and now I'm in Armidale spending a few days with grandma before I go to Sydney on Wednesday. On friday I'm flying from Sydney to South Australia, will probably stay there a month or two before I go to Perth. I'm in a hurry right now, but I'll update more on Thursday :)

Far away from home

I must admit that the last week has not been easy. one thing was that my wallet got stolen with all my cards and a fair bit of money. another thing is that quite a few things has been going on at home in Norway. Late in December last year my big brother and his girlfriend Tonje got engaged, and on Saturday they got married. I didn't have enough money to go to Norway for the wedding, but I had never expected it to be so hard to be on the other side of the world while my hole family were geathered in Stryn. guess I'm not always as tough as I think I am. And with all of my Norwegian friends here in Australia seeming to go home, I don't think I've ever felt so alone in my entire life. Everyone is going home, everything seems to be going on in Norway and here I am as far away as I can get from Norway all by myself and no ticket to take me home. Guess if I just start digging, I might end up in my backyard..

Bluesfest!

Hei hei!
After one week in Palmwoods, it was time to go to the Blues and Roots fest festival in Byron Bay, a 5day bluesfest with heaps of supernice music. Ben Harper, Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio and jason Mraz just to mention a few. And oh yes, it rained almost all the time, I've never seen so much gjorme in my life! The 2 first days I wondered around with no shoes, but that second night a pair of pink gumboots knocked on my tent door and asked if I could pretty plz take them to the festival, so lucky bucky me :)If I'm going back to the festival next year, I'm defo NOT sleeping in a godDamn tent!!

Yesterday I came to Yamba to meet a good friend of mine from back home KRISTIN BERNTZEN!! :) shes in Oz for 4 more weeks, so happy happy yeeeeee!

Still no camera, by the way, but I have a phone!

In Palmwoods with no camera, no phone....

Since I've left home I've had an electronic helvette. It started i Jervis Bay, I was walking in the bush, it was a really hot day so I desided to jump in the water to cool down...with my splitter new camera in my pocket. Not so verry smart, but I thought as long as it wasn't my iPod, it wasn't that bad even tho I lost evry single photo I took in Malaysia. A few days later, I deleted my iPod with almost 40GB of music by accident... I thought well OK, I'll just put Chris' music on and I'll be fine, but after a while I really started to miss my music, so i shipped it off to Norway so Bernard could sync it with my computer at home. I was so happy when I got it back! (I love you Bernard) since I lost my camera I had to get a new one and so I did, a WATERPROOF one this time :) but last week my camera decided not to be friendt with me any more, so I had to hand it in to a shop so they could fix it and it will take 4-6 weeks before I get it back, but I thought I have a camera on my phone, I'll just use that!

the next thing on the lits to go to helvette, and I bet you'd never guess, was oh yes my phone.

on my way back from the camera shop someone nicked my phone out of my pocket...

So at the moment I have no camera no phone, but I have my iPod. I love my iPod :)

I had a few days at North Straddie before I left Brissie, and I found paradise. I whent scuba diving, sand boarding, caving, 4 wd and lots of other stuff. it was wonderful!! I'll have to go back when I get my camera back so I can show you what it looks like. beautiful beaches and not very touristy. I'm in Palmwoods now visiting Tommy and Kristina,

and I'm so sorry I cant show you any photos!!

Ting jeg har glemt litt!

Kom over noen bilder fra de forste dagene mine i Singapore og Malaysia. Som dere kanskje vet, er det ganske mange ting som ikke er lov i Singapore...

Dette var det forste skiltet som motte meg pa subwayen. helt vanlig og de er overalt!

Sann ellers tenker jeg ofte pa hva jeg skal bli nar jeg en dag blir stor, jeg blir ofte inspirert av mennesker jeg moter rundt omkring, og syns folk noen ganger velger underlige yrkesveier... her er ihvertfall noe jeg ikke kommer til a gjore.

Hyggelige folk har jeg mott helt siden jeg dro fra Norge, og jeg har aldri drikki sa mye lime juice som jeg gjore i Singapore og Malaysia. Det er super digg, sa det er det bare a begynne a drikke :)

Sa husker du kanskje at jeg hadde en noget uheldig overnattingsopplevelse i Melaka?? Tror ihvertfall jeg fortalte om det rommet det lukta sa jeeeeevelig mollkuler... vel, da husker du ogsa at jeg fortalte at jeg putta orepropper i nesa, sa jeg skulle fa sove.

Ikke sa veldig nogd froken pa tur...

Sann i utgangspunktet skulle jeg bo pa det rommet noen dager, men ma man, sa ma man. jeg tok tinga mine a stakk til Penang bittelitt tidligere enn planlagt...!

Helgen i Surfers Paradise var superduper! det var veldig hyggelig a se Edvard igjen, bodde hos han og kjaresten hans Cathrine. Lordag dro vi til nabobygda Coolangatta for a sjekke ut Quicksilver Pro og hva verdens beste surfere kan prestere pa bolgan bla. Dog vi ikke sa noen ting til Kelly Slater, var det ganske sa mye anna a se pa :)





Coolangetta er en ganske sa snodig by, for det er to byer i ett. den ene delen er altsa Coolangetta, den andre delen heter Tweed Heads,og det som er sa sprott er at Colongetta er i Queensland og Tweed Heads er i New South Wales. greia er at det er 1 time tidsforskjell i QLD og NSW, sa bor du pa den ene siden av veien og skal pa cafe kl 10 pa den andre siden, sa er klokka der bare 9. og om cafeen ikke apner for kl 10, kan du bare ga hjem a vente en time til :)

Hello sweeties!
Still in Brisbane dilling rundt. The weather is supernice and oh-la-la so hot here! 38 todo el dia. yesterday the strangest thing happend. I was walking up the street in Cleveland and as I was listening to my iPod (jeeeeee!!) minding my own bussines, I bumped in to a friend of mine. She is also Norwegian and stayed at the backpackers in Lennox 2 weeks ago. She lives and works in Brisbane (Cleveland is 40mins out of Brissie by train) and mostly works in the city. She is the only one I know in Brisbane, and what are the chanses meeting i Cleveland??!!

Anyway, I'm going to the Gold Coast today and will spend the weekend there with Flyndra, a friend of mine from the good old study days in saftbygda Sogndal. On Sunday we're going to check out the Roxy Pro surf competition, and oh yeah, theee Mr Kelly will be there!!

(sorry 'bout all my spelling mistakes by the way...)
